Feel Unique Haul

For years and years I've been using my trusty Nicky Clarke straighteners. They have never let me down, but I have just always wanted a pair of GHD's - ever since I was about 14 - but the price tag put me off, and I my straighteners worked fine.

Now I am a 24 year old, who saw a copper pair of GHD's on the Feel Unique website....and caved. If I was going to get a pair, it was going to be a copper pair. So whilst spending my hard earned money, I thought I may as well get the NARS Orgasm Blush that's been sitting in my basket for months whilst I'm spending all my money.

What I didn't realise was that I was entitled to a free goodie bag since I had spent over £100 - oops.
It included some of my favourite brands, and also a lot of stuff I had always wanted to try. The gift is worth over £100 itself.

The gift included
A Pink Makeup Bag
£20 off GHD Voucher (too late dammit!)
Benefit - Porefessional mask.
Elizabeth Arden - 8 hour cream
Emma Hardie - Amazing Face Oil
Bed Head - hair spray
Bed head - Shampoo and Conditioner
Caudalie - Cleansing Oil
Balance Me - Restore and Replenish Face Cream
La Roshe Posay - Redermic C10
Ren - Flash Hydro Boost
Decalour - Excellence Cream
Phyto Extreme Hair Mask
FleurDeForce - Lipgloss in Little Star
Tanya Burr - Nail Polish in Little Duck
and a 15% code off any of the brands in the gift set.

So even though I spent a small fortune on straighteners and a blusher...I think I got a pretty sweet deal!
I'm off to Japan in March, so all these travel sizes will be coming with me for sure!
The Caudalie cleansing oil is my favourite product so far - I will definitely be purchasing the full size of this. I've also been enjoying the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream. It's so soothing on dry skin and chapped lips - this might need a full size purchase too!

The GHD's are just as good as I thought they'd be...wish I'd done it sooner. (But I wouldn't of gotten copper ones if I had waited!)
And the NARS Blush is actually beautiful. It's really pigmented, so a little goes along way, and the sheen it gives is so pretty.

Charlotte Tilbury Haulin'

It was my Birthday in May, so after receiving a little bit of spending money; I wanted to treat myself to something that I wouldn't normally justify spending the money on.

I LOVE Charlotte Tilbury products - the packaging and the colours are stunning. My Friend brought me a lipstick for Christmas, and since then I've wanted to try out more from her beautiful make up range.

I decided to go for 2 eye products as they are some of my favourite products to play around with. I went for a cream eye shadow in Mona Lisa and a colour Chameleon eye shadow stick in Golden Quartz.

The Cream eye shadow is a gorgeous taupe brown with enough shimmer to make your eyes pop. It's super pigmented so a little goes a long way. This looks gorgeous worn on its own as a wash of colour, or is great as a base for more colours to create a smokey look.

The Colour Chameleon stick is a really bronze brown, with flecks of gold glitter in there too - which makes this more special than your high street brands. The colour really makes my eyes pop, and its super simple to create a smokey eye look with this. It's super creamy and easy to smudge out - I defiantly want more colours in my collection! The colour Amethyst Aphrodisiac is a gorgeous muted pink which I've found suits my skin tone really well.

The only items I'm not sold on are the blushes from Charlotte's collection. Non of the colours really stand out to me, however the lip and eye products have me drooling for more!

Feeling Spendy - Sale Shopping

December was a busy month, there was Christmas, Christmas dinner, work, boxing day, work and more work! As soon as January hit and things calmed down and that meant I ended up browsing the sales! - Which is very dangerous when you've just been paid and deserve a treat after such a busy month!

Firstly I hit up Boots - I was tempted by their Soap and Glory big £60 box down to £25 - but after scoping out the perfume aisle, I spotted the Stella McCartney Perfume Stella down from £60 to £30 - I've wanted this perfume for ages, so I snapped it up and didn't look back! I was tempted by a Juicy Couture option - however the I have enough sweet smelling fragrances, so the more grown up scent of Stella is perfect to add to my collection.

Next up was Amazon - My boyfriend needed a few bits and bobs, as I was looking around I noticed there were a few Korean make up brands available and decided to dip my tow into the water and purchase something from Tony Moly. I'd heard of this brand a few years ago - however Korean beauty is on the uprise and have some stella products. I opted for the So Cool Panda eye treatment stick. This is super cooling and hydrating and now I need more from the brand! Watch this space!

Now for the main purchase Kate Spade - I have been eyeing up Kate Spade purses and bags for months, and as soon as I saw there was a sale on, there were no hesitations! I opted for the small Stacy purse in the Glitterbug finish which was down from £70 to £35 - BARGAIN. The purse is gorgeous. I opted for the smaller purse size as I was hoarding way to much in my large one and wanted a smaller option for a purse, The larger size was £88 from £150 which was super tempting, and might still get purchased! Keep and eye out for a full review.

Expect full reviews on some of these items and many more!
Did you purchase anything in the sales?

Collective Boots Haul

Over the past few months I've brought a few items to pamper myself during our hectic house situation - I'm sorry thats all I'm ever going to talk about now!
It's nice to have a little treat every now and then; and the only place to do that is in Boots. Most of the items I picked up have either been on my lust list for a little while now, or I've seen them spoken about in videos so I had to try it out for myself! - Watching Youtube videos is so enabling!

Make up:
I found the cutest, tiniest eyeshadow palette from Smashbox that I couldn't refuse - the Smashbox Full Exposure palette has the perfect shades in it to be the only palette you ever need - Full review to come!
Benefit Gimmie brow has been on my list for a long time - and today I finally bit the £18 bullet and brought it. I haven't had much time (or a good enough mirror) to see to my brows recently and thought this would be great to tame things till I can get them professionally done. I havn't tried this yet so await a full review!
Whilst I was gorming at the Benefit counter I also picked up a Posiebalm - just cause it looked cute and I wanted a little treat for myself...I have no excuse, have you seen the packaging?

Skincare:
I had a sample of the Lush moisturiser in Skins Shangri La and remember it being like a drink for your skin. With all the stress from moving and months of decorating, this was very much needed! It's quite a thick creamy consistensy, and almost oily? If you suffer from oily skin this won't be for you; but for those who lack moisture this would be perfect. I use this as the last step in my routine to add a good dose of moisture before starting my day.
Hylamide Booster Glow Serum - I saw this brand on a few skincare blogs and was intrigued so I picked one up. It's from the same brains as Indeed labs, so I thought it would be worth a shot! I picked up the glow booster serum as my skin has always been a bit lacklustre...If I like this one I may have to stock up on more from the brand!

Tools:
On my sprees I also picked up two new brushes from varying spectrums of price. First is the tapered blush brush from the Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection - which I had been eyeing up for a while, and soon as I saw they were on offer I ran to the check out. Its a gorgeous colour, supersoft and applied blush like a dream - no regrets!
On the other side is a £3 blush brush from Wilkos. The softest brush, not too dense and visualy not at all bad...for anyone whose on a budget I highly reccomend taking a look!

Shower Products:
First I brought the St Tropez in shower gardual tan lotion; this was on every blog and every youtube channel and had some real mixed reviews. I've never been one for self tanning as I always end up turning orange or have a horrid streak down my arm. This is the perfect self tanning lotion for people who don't want to look orange and want a streak free application.
Next on my jollies I came across some Ritauls products in Marks Spencers. I chose the Indian rose scent in the foaming shower gel formula. This is similar to the Imperial Leather Foamburst, but a bit more luxurious and creamy.

Well there you have it! 2 months of purchases wrapped up! Expect full reviews very soon as I use the products and get to know them, and expect to see others in Most Used Monday posts - which will be back soon too!

I've really missed blogging and having my little space on the internet...it feels good to be back!

Gold Accessories

As Summer is fast approaching there's nothing better than purchasing a few new pieces to liven up your outfit. I think gold accessories look gorgeous when you have a little tan going on and the suns out.

I have been after a pair of sandals for quite some time and was spoilt for choice in Primark. I was swaying between a brown suede gladiator style pair, and these rose gold beauties. I chose the rose gold option as they will work with any outfit, dresses, jeans and shorts. They're super comfy as you just slip them on with the elasticated sides, and a little tow piece in the middle. I think I will be purchasing the brown pair as they would look super cute when we go away to Bruges this summer for some site seeing. But I thought these pair would be perfect for evenings out. I don't really own any pretty flat shoes. for £6 they were a bargain, I'll certainly be after some more pairs before I head out on our trip.

After a quick mooch in Topshop and River Island I spotted some gorgeous jewellery pieces. I fell in love with this intricately detailed necklace from River Island for £5.00. It reminded me of a pair of earring I already own from the brand 'Orelia' which has some gorgeous delicate pieces but are quite pricey. I also spotted some gold tattoos from Orelia's stand in Topshop and decided to pick up a sheet. They're really beautiful and I cant wait to wear them. There were so many designs to choose from I might have to go back for some more!

I also picked up a new pair of sunglasses from Topshop. They're very similar to my current pair with a tortoise shell frame, but they're a lot larger and have different coloured arms. They really flattering and I absolutely love them. I find it hard to find glasses that suit my little face shape, so I'm always excited when I find something that suits me.

I've always been a sucker for bracelet layering. So over the past few months I've been picking up individual bracelets to layer on top of each other. My parents brought me a gorgeous Swarvoski Viktor & Rolf bangle, so that was my centre piece. I added a few from Urban Outfitters and River island and a cheap watch from Next to complete the set. I always loose watches so there's never any point buying something expensive.

Soap and Glory Solar Powder Review

I've been lusting after this bronzer for a while now, it doesn't look scarily red/orange, nor does it look too dark. I'd heard many people on the internet talk about this product do when I was feeling spendy in Boots the other day I had to pick it up.

One one side is a dark, matte brown and on the other side is a lighter more shimmery brown. When mixed together they create a nice golden tone and it really brightens up my skin tone. I've been on the search for a natural looking bronzer, and I think I found it. When you first open up the product it has a light pink shimmer on the engraving, however this is gone after the first use and isn't too shimmery afterwards.

I'd previously brought the Body Shop Honey Bronzer in fair and found that it was slightly too light for me to have any effect on my skin tone, I also found it a bit too powdery (If that's even a thing I don't know.) I felt it sat on top of my skin too much and didn't blend as well. This is one of the products I regret buying. I may throw it away to be honest as it's now been replaced.
The offering from Soap and Glory is the opposite. With the darker matte shade a can use it as a slight contour to contour my cheek bones out a bit and add some definition to my little moon face. or I can add a subtle warmth to my skin with the lighter shade, and use it on my temples to add a sun kissed look.

I can see myself using this product daily, along with a nice blush to add some colour to my cheeks, and a little pop of highlighter on my cheekbones, Summer sorted!

Have you tried this bronzer from Soap and Glory? It would seem I have an ever growing collection from their make up range.

The bronzer is £11 from Boots and is currently on 3 for 2 here.

Boots Haul - April 2015

Apparently I was feeling rather spendy today.

I found myself at boots browsing the Benefit counter and decided to pick up the 'Rockateur' Blusher. I've had my eye on this blusher for a while now. I don't own anything like this. I don't love the packaging but the product inside is gorgeous. When you first open the packaging it's covered in pink holograhpic glitter. After one use this is gone and your left with a dusky rose blush with a hint of brown to it. It gives a natural colour to the face and I think it would suit a lot of different skin tones. It has a nice inner glow look to it too which I love with blushers.

As I'd already fulfilled part of my forever growing wish list I thought I may as well add some more, much lusted after products to my basket. In went Soap and Glory's 'Solar Powder' and 'DIY Brow Bar.'
The brow kit contains a brown and blonde powder, a wax and an under arch highlight. I haven't given this product a proper road test yet, so keep an eye out for a full review!
The 'solar powder' is a beautiful bronzer with two shades. With summer on it's way I wanted to brighten my look up and add a sun kissed glow to the skin. I'm yet to try this out yet either but I've heard great things from other blogs about it, so I'm excited to give this a try as it doesn't look too dark or too orange.

Barry M have got some gorgeous new shades in their 'speedy' range. I brought two shades on a previous jaunt in 'In a Heart Beat' a beautiful toned down neon pink, 'Road Rage' a dupe for Essie - Mint Candy Apple and 'Eat My Dust' a gorgeous pastel purple/blue. I didn't find they dry any quicker than their standard polishes...but the colours are gorgeous and ready for spring in a range of gorgeous pastels.

Lastly I brought the Garnier Micellar cleansing water. I've heard a few things about this and was running low on my normal cleanser. I'm excited to try this to use this as a first cleanse to get rid of my make up before doing a proper cleanse. I always find eye make up the worse to remove and this claims to remove really easily.

Have you brought anything recently from Boot's or the drugstore?
Any recommendations?

Boots Haul - New Finds

I hadn't been in boots for a long time so I decided to pick up a few things I hadn't tried before.

I've been after a new foundation/bb cream for a while now that is compatible with my dry skin. I was browsing the L'oreal stand and spotted the L'oreal Nude Magique BB cream. When I swatched this I was pleasantly surprised.

When squeezed through the tube and onto your skin it appears as a white gritty liquid. Then when rubbed into the skin, the gritty (beads) explode into colour that gives a light natural finish. A finish so natural you can't tell your wearing it which I love. There's nothing worse than cakey makeup!
When swatched it looks a bit on the orange side, but it blends nicely into my skin tone when applied and is untraceable. And best of doesn't highlight any dry patches.

Whilst I was at the L'oreal stand I also noticed a little tube of L'oreal Nude Magique BB Blush.
This is even stranger. It's a clear silicone gel when squeezed out the tube, but when placed into the skin and mixed with your natural PH it turns into a beautiful natural glowy pink. A little goes a long way with this and it only needs to be patted lightly onto the cheeks to give a youthful 'just been outside' pink glow. This might be a new favourite! Especially as spring is round the corner.

Next up I picked up 5 Montagne Jeunesse face masks.
I've never tried these face masks but I've heard good things, so I decided to pick 5 different ones up to get a feel for the brand. I picked up two hydrating sheet masks. Apparently these are great for dehydrated skin and are incredibly mess free to use! The other three are either peel off masks or old school mud masks for cleansing as I tend to get blackheads on my chin and forehead.
I've only tied the black seaweed peel off mask so far. The texture is odd and messy and incredibly black! It reminds me of venom from Spider-Man! It was easy to peel off and saw amazing results! For £1 a mask (I reckon I could get three uses out of that one) I think they're brilliant value for money when you need a quick skin fix. My pores where incredibly clear and it didn't dry out my skin. It was also REALLY fun to feel off. A bit like peeling PVA glue off your hands when in primary school.

I recently ran out of my soap and glory shower gel and scrub and was going to pick some more up when I decided to try something new. So instead I picked up some from Original Source. I picked up the coconut shower gel (I love coconut scented things!) and the tea tree shower daily scrub. This scrub is delicate for my sensitive skin but scrubby enough to get rid of any dead skin before shaving. Great buy! I really want to try the new shower oil range from them too!

Lastly I got an old favourite from Charles Worthington  - Moisture Seal Shampoo, Conditioner and Deep Conditioner.
The scent of this range is gorgeous and my hair already feels more nourished and smooth than it did before. My hair was looking and feeling a bit damaged so I need a quick rescue and I sure got one!

Overall I'm really happy with my new purchases; have you brought anything recently from Boots?
