My Perfume Collection
I only have a small perfume collection. My day to day scents are usually the cheaper 'celebrity' perfumes that are quick and easy going. Then I have two special perfumes which are much pricier and only come out for special occasions! I like to switch up my perfume every now and then as I end up not being able to smell them on me if I wear the same one too often. Once these run out I'll probably make new discoveries and only repurchase my absolute favourites.
Katy Perry Killer Queen: This is super sweet with berry and floral notes. I finished my beloved Taylor Swift 'Enchanted' Perfume and decided to finish this one up before purchasing something else. I wear this one most days as its nice and easy going and lasts a good amount of time considering the high street price tag. The bottle isn't my favourite, its quite gimmicky. but for a cheapish perfume I won't complain, This has notes of berries and praline.
Nina Ricci Nina: I love the bottle on this one. It's super cute and quite obviously smells like red apples; but has a fresh sweet scent to it. It's totally different to anything else I've smelt before. This one isn't too pricey either and has lasted me ages. The smell lasts a long time on the skin too, and I normally get complimented on this one.
Juicy Couture Malibu: This smells like a holiday in a bottle. I think this smells quite like coconut...however it isn't mentioned anywhere that its in there. However I do get the passion fruit, watermelon and jasmine notes. This is by far one of my favourites and am already half way through. This will be a definite repurchase. I want to try some more perfumes from Juicy Couture, they're packaging is to die for and some of their scents seem right up my street.
Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina: This was a birthday gift and pretty pricey. This is for special occasions as it's quite grown up scent for me, but still has that sweetness that draws me to a fragrance. The bottle is rose gold and chic which I love. This has notes of pink pepper, jasmine and panacotta. The panacotta gives it a milky sweet scent which lingers on the skin once its settled in. I love this one and will be incredibly upset to depart with my cash to repurchase this one!
Thierry Mugler Angel: I'd been eyeing this fragrance up for a while. I always sniffed it in duty free and in boots whilst having a wonder...but that price tag put me off! Low and behold during Christmas it came down to a reasonable price so I took the plunge. This is an incredibly oriental scent with notes of melon, jasmine, honey, tonka Bean, caramel and patchouli. This is completely different to anything else I own and has quite a spicy scent to it, It took me a while to love this scent but I've grown to love it, It's very grown up and isn't as sweet as my usual taste. This is another 'going out' perfume rather and an everyday one. Packaging is spot on though!
I have my eye on Black Opium by Yves Saint Laurent, Stella by Stella McCartney and Jo Malone Sea Salt and Sage.
Monday's Most Used
Spring is finally here! The weathers still a bit wet, but on the whole its looking up!
With this change in weather comes a change of products too.
First I start with my Stila one step color correct serum, as this evens out my complexion and illuminates my skin slightly giving my make up a good base to start. This gets rid of any redness I may have.
I haven't been using foundation much as I don't find I need to after using the Stila serum, so I go straight to cheeks, I've been loving the color 'Seductive Pink' by Maxfactor in their creme puff range and Bourjois blush in amber rose. I've been applying these colors to the apples of my cheeks with my Duo Fiber powder brush by Real Techniques. Both blushers are heavily pigmented and I find this to be the perfect brush to lightly add a dash of pink,
The make up looks really fresh and pretty and I also like to layer both blushers to add some depth to the look.
I've also been enjoying the Maybelline Brow Drama sculpting mascara to add some colour and definition to my brows to make them look slightly bolder, and less haywire,
I then finish off the look with a Maybelline color drama lipstick pencil in the color Fuschia Pink. This is such a bright, colorful pink that it really draws them out. I love the color and the finish of these lipsticks and they're so easy to apply!
I've been loving my Salvatore Ferragamo 'Signorina' perfume. This is a grown up, floral scent with some sweet notes of panacotta and pink pepper to lift it up. Its a really light, refreshing scent which reminds me of my birthday month - May.
